Our Knitwear

Fair Isle garments are crafted by skilled artisans, techniques handed down through generations. It is a traditional knitted technique used to create patterns with multiple colours. This is a style of knitting that is characterised by bands of multicoloured geometric patterns. Horizontal motifs, crosses, diamonds and eight-pointed stars from coloured strands of wool.

We have produced a small collection of knitwear and designed a signature slipover called "Bonnie". With blue tones and a hint of red - it is an essential everyday garment in our collection which can be worn over a white shirt with denim, seen and bought through our lifestyle stop whilst stock lasts.

The value of a wool garment and care instructions

A natural sustainable fibre, renewable, antibacterial, odor resistant, biodegradable, breathable and it also regulates body temperature.

Try to wash less as wool is odor neutralising. Let your garment breathe after wearing for a few days, spot clean, do not rub. If needed to be washed, wash by hand with tepid water with a gentle detergent. Never machine wash as it misshapes the garment and could shrink if it gets too hot. Dry flat away from direct heat and sunlight. If bobbling occurs which is natural, pull taut and use a de-pill comb to remove bobbles. If storing for a long time, store folded and flat in a breathable garment bag. Wool garments have the potential to last a life time, if looked after correctly.
